The World: Remala



REMALA

 Remala is Alaria's largest and most populous continent, located primarily in the northwestern  Hemisphere. It is bounded on the east by the Goreyo Ocean, on the south by the Bottomless Ocean, and on the north by the Chozala Ocean; while the White Sea is located on the northwestern part of the continent and it shares the Diamond Sea with the neighboring continent of Estheros.

It is also where famous trade routes are found and it is the birthplace of the famous and dominant religion of the Alaharic faith and two other religions. Because of its vast landmass, it has the largest plains and highest mountain ranges like the Lorema Plains and Chamshala Mountains that separates Chala and Gormala desert. Its vast landmass, which has long been home to the majority of the population, reflects on the division of its cultures. Remala was the site of many of the first civilizations. The continent is notable for not only its overall large size and population but also dense and large settlements located primarily near bodies of water, as well as vast barely populated regions.

Author's note

 I think Remala feels a little close at home for me because it will be influenced by cultures close to mine. I made this using Photoshop and considered worldbuilding aspects like the continent's tectonic plates and natural biomes.

I'm also planning on conceptualizing a whole new language so I can continue naming various places and so I can go on with writing the civilizations surrounding it.
